Sunrays online magazine
Once more we have a variety of visual arts, music and theatre on the theme of 'magical creations'. Corpus Acrobatics makes magical circus theatre performances of the Carnaval of the Animals. Ela Venbroek carves angels out of cleft tree trunks and sometimes centuries old wood. You will meet Pejo, a Flemish duo passionate about glass and Maartje de Boer, who makes wonderful mosaic art from various materials. The music you hear is from the new solo cd by harpist Diana de Vries. Enjoy this new edition of Aangenaam!
Form and content
In this edition we have magical theatre productions by Lichtbende, expressive and colourful paintings that make you happy by Erika Stulp, music by Peter Westerbrink, who revives old music from the glorious Hanseatic days and I show you the beginnings of a new project, moving between heaven and earth. In short: another magazine with lots of art and culture to look at and enjoy!
What is it that inspires you? In this third edition you will find beautiful sculptures in stone and bronze by Frieda Waanders. Harpist Diana de Vries shares with you how the harp has been a source of inspiration for her all her life and we are proud to be the first to show her latest CD! Writer and storyteller MarYam Mildenberg shows you why she writes inSpiratie with a capital S and last but not least Leni van den Band shares her vision, resulting in her intriguing pieces of art. Although it is in Dutch you can have a look at the beautiful art and listen to the inspiring music anyway!
Music for all senses
Surprising combinations of music with other art disciplines are the main theme of this second edition of our online magazine. First of all an article on Niek KleinJan, a young, talented percussionist and his ambitious project The Percussion Canon. Cor Ardesch sheds light on the skills of a municipal organist in Dordrecht, a city rich in history and culture. Hans Hordijk shows impressive photos of dancing performers and you will find some paintings by Herma Ardesch, inspired by music. It's in Dutch, but you can have a look at the pictures and listen to the music by clicking this text or the picture
A wonderful experience
Together with some enthusiastic colleagues who all work in the arts and culture sector we compiled a Dutch online magazine, in which some inspiring projects from various disciplines are highlighted. Each one of them performed by people who just love their work. In this first edition Peter Vial shows mosaic sculptures and Annet KleinJan works with children to let them experience music from a very young age. Ton Soepenberg shares a few projects in which he lets people (but also a mammoth!) fly and Herma Ardesch, who is also responsible for the concept of this online magazine, shows some of her other activities in Sunray art & design.
