Exhibitions 2012
May 2012
Until the 2nd of May 2012 Herma Ardesch' paintings will still be exhibited at the Slussen Hilton Hotel in Stockholm. When you click on the photo below, you will find an impression of this exhibition.
From May 8 a large part of the paintings will go to Bureau Jeugdzorg at de Overtoom in Amsterdam, where they will temporarily decorate the walls of these stately premises. This exhibition is only accessible for employees and visitors of Bureau Jeugdzorg.
On June 16 my sister, Frieda Waanders, and I will be present at the Midummernigt art fair at the Brink in Den Ham (NL). There you can see for yourself how Frieda's sculptures and my paintings influence and intensify one another. And you can also enjoy live music and much more!
Furthermore from October 7 2012 until Janurary 27 2013, my paintings will be part of the group exhibition at Kunsthandel Gennep. In October 2012 you will find more info about this exhibition at this site.
Spring is in the air!

The Werkgroep Muziek Grote Kerk Dordrecht started its new concert season on March 23, World Organ Day, with the traditional 'Bach by Candlelight' concert.
For this season Sunray was commissioned to make a new ídentity for the organisation to give it a new, fresh look; the poster and the program of Bach by Candlelight already showed this new look. Furthermore the new identity will show on the program booklet, on posters and in advertisements of the complete concert series.
On April 21 a special concert will take place because of the 25th anniversary of the Stichting Behoud Grote Kerk. At this concert two barrel organs, the Harlekino and the Lekkerkerker, will perform together with the church's Kam-organ.

Strings I
- violinist -
The first one of a series of paintings of musicians and their instruments. This violinist colours her surroundings while playing, so musician, instrument and music are merging into each other. Painted in acrylic on canvas, size 100 x 100 x 4 cm.

New Sunray editions
January 2012 - update March 2012
A number of new books have appeared recently.
The two books by Hidayat Inayat-Khan which have been published last year have also been published in the original English versions and a new edition. The titles: Spiritual Liberty and The message in our time. Have a look at the Sunray book page, on which you can also order these books.
Furthermore an English edition of the booklet Water light in motion by MarYam Mildenberg has appeared. This is a small photo book with almost abstract photo´s of water and light with accompanying Haiku's. This book has been privately published.
A new book with the memoirs of Shahzadi Khan-de Koningh with the title Pages in the life with a Sufi will appear in April. In July a Dutch version of this book will follow in a luxury, hard cover edition in full colour, illustrated with many photo´s.
